The family friendly event will include plenty of pet care information booths, shelter pet adoptions along with low-cost vaccinations and microchipping, according to a statement from the university.
Games, give-aways and law enforcement canine demonstrations will be part of the day's activities.
Representatives of the Aquarium of the Pacific will be present with the Aquarium on Wheels, which includes plenty of sea creatures, the statement said.
Those interested in careers in veterinary medicine will also have an opportunity to learn about the field and how to prepare academically for such a career.
Students from the College of Veterinary Medicine will lead tours of the program's educational facilities including Banfield, The Pet Hospital, a facility where future veterinary medicine professional receive part of their training, the statement said.
The Open House is free and open to the public.
